If you're not convinced you have the latest Update from the automated service, it may be that it hasn't officially rolled out to your area yet. From there, you may seem some updates already pending, or you can select "Check for updates" and see what the program throws back at you. To use the on-board Windows Update tool on your PC, just click your Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. So if things break, first check that the next Update won't fix the problem. As Microsoft continue to try and integrate all of their services, it's sensible to assume that future Windows updates could change how the Store works and therefore how XGPPC works. Despite rolling out Xbox Game Pass for PC in mid-June, the functionality to download the games within it was included in the ironically named May 2019 update, which didn't come out for several days after XGPPC's launch. Almost as redundant a piece of advice as "have you tried turning it off and on again", nevertheless it's worth checking you have the very latest public version of Windows on your machine.
